This sonde was a longshot due to the last heard position being almost a mile up and very steep hills with lots of ups and downs. It was difficult, but we found it. Spotted it from an adjacent hill and used all my energy to make one last climb up to get it.

Recovered in the mountains of East Canyon Resort. Chris from maintenance was super nice and assisted through two locked gates to a long-term trailer and RV storage area in the hills west of the resort. Hiked from there in snowy cold conditions up a mountain side and over the ridge to the landing location. And of course there was sagebrush and scrub oak aplenty. Facebook Radiosonde North America

This one landed Jan 18 2025. I arrived today with my new magnetic Weather Balloon Recovery signs on my truck.As I was explaining to the landowner why I was there, his wife came out of the house. She said " I think I know what you are looking for " She had found it 2 months earlier in a field behind her horse barn. Nice when other people find them for you !
