My first weather sonde recovery!! In fact, the first time one is landing inside a radius of 60 miles from my station, and the first time I got to chase. Very exciting!! In the middle of the night, sonde was on the ground and balloon in a lonely tree. I've been able to pull the cord and bring everything on the ground. Thanks sondehub community!! :)

Forgot to report this one right away! Found about a week or so after it landed. It had traveled about 400 yds further (northwest) than the predicted landing spot, in the next field over, on the same trajectory curve. Easy to see. Recovered everything.

Recovery on second visit, first visit was to get post-landing decode of position. Actual location only 2 metres away, sonde on ground and balloon in short scrub tree. Ottawa drought made for easy travel in what otherwise would be a wet forest of coniferous trees.
